HOME SCHOOL
SPRING FAMILY FUN DAY & PARENT WORKSHOP
We are excited to again be offering Homeschool Family Fun Days for 2010. Below you will find the specific Home School Information however if you would like to view pictures or the schedule of activities please reference the other Field Trips links as they are also applicable to the Home School day.
DATES : Wednesday May 12th (parent workshop), and Thursday May 13th.
TIMES 9:00 am.-1:30 pm. The activities begin at 9:30! (the gate will not open until 8:30).
COST:TThe cost is $10.50 per person. For those attending the workshop the cost is the same $10.50. Please note: All parents entering the gate must also pay.
REGISTRATION: We are no longer doing pre-registration all registration and payments are made at the door. Please note: we are only able to accept cash.
PROCEDURES: There will be a short orientation from 9:15-9:30 then promptly at 9:30 the activities will begin. Parents are responsible for the conduct of their children.
BRING: A picnic lunch including a drink or money to buy lunch. Also bring bathing suit worn under clothing, tee shirt for over any two-piece or low cut bathing suits, towel, change of clothes, and old creek sneakers (it is very possible that participants will get wet at the boat slide, boating and creek activities). Please label items so they don’t get lost. Tee shirts are available for purchase and the snack bar will be open with drinks, hot dogs, snow cones, etc. throughout the day.
PARENT WORKSHOP – MAY 12th:
Do you need some encouragement in raising Godly sons and daughters? Well this is for you! We can say from personal experience that if you come to the May 12th workshop, you will get answers from the only book that truly has all the answers, the Word of God. Mrs. Becky Wyand a long time home school consultant, educator, and grandmother is the workshop speaker. With enthusiasm and humor she will tell you what you need to know to be an effective home school parent. This is something you don’t want to miss! The cost is $10.50 per person.
SCHEDULE
9:00-9:30 Informal Time- Tea, Juice and Fruit provided
9:30-11:20 Session 1 “Successful tips for Home Schooling” then Question /Answer Time
11:20-12:00 Break for you to watch the Show and have lunch with your children.
12:00-1:30 Session 2 followed by Question /Answer time
1:30 Departure
It’s sure to be a powerful day of practical wisdom and spiritual encouragement. Meet other home school families and enjoy a great time of camaraderie!
GROUPS: If you have a Home School Group of 20 people or more, other dates may be reserved for your group. Please contact our office to get additional information about this or to check on available dates.
SUMMER DAY CAMP
We want to invite Home Schooled children to attend our Final Fling Week (August 16-20) at a reduced rate of $128.00 per child. If you are interested in additional information check out the Day Camp tab or call us at 301-797-7999. Please note: you cannot get the reduced rate by registering on-line. Please register using the paper application.

AUGUST 16-20: FINAL FLING WEEK: It’s time to finish the summer out in high style! This week will offer our regular activities including such things as forting, tumbling, archery & marksmanship, crafts, baking, canoeing & kayaking, cable ride, boat slide and swimming. We will again feature special events every day, including bingo, “beach party,” inventor’s contest, and special tournaments. May the summer go out with a bang!
